Fire Ant Mounds in the Play Yard
Loose soil mounds appearing overnight, usually after rain, along fence lines and the edge of the play surface. This is the one pest on the list creating a fast-forming hazard that can cause injuries requiring medical attention.
Ants or Roaches in the Snack Area
You may notice a trail along the baseboard heading toward a cupboard or activity under the units after closing. Snack rooms produce crumbs at floor level all day, and the floor is where they inevitably end up.
Something in the Nap Mats
Small dark specks in a seam, or a bite pattern somebody has mentioned. Mats and soft furnishings frequently travel between homes and the center in bags and bedding, serving as the primary way these pests are introduced.

The Play Yard and Outdoor Areas
Fire ant treatment across the yard and the fence line, plus the border where the play surface meets grass. This service is scheduled well in advance of regular hours to ensure the area is safe and clear before children return.
Indoors, Low-Impact First
Exclusion, sanitation advice, and monitoring wherever that will resolve it. Where a product is genuinely needed, it goes into sealed voids in rooms children do not use, with the building empty.
Notification and Licensing Records
A written record of what was used, where, and when, in a form that goes into your licensing file. We will also tell you what needs to be communicated to parents and help you with it.
How Our Daycare Pest Management Works
Four stages, and none of them happen while children are on site.
Step 1
Survey When You Are Closed
Play yard, snack area, classrooms, nap storage, restrooms, and exterior perimeter. At this stage, we agree on which areas are eligible for treatment and which are restricted, and we will proceed accordingly.
Step 2
Outdoors First
The yard is dealt with before anything indoors, because that is where the injury risk is. Everything is timed around your closing days and your re-entry intervals, not around our schedule.
Step 3
Indoors, Minimum Necessary
Sealing, monitoring, and sanitation are where they will do the job. Anything applied goes into voids and cracks in service and staff areas, never in a room where children sit on the floor.
Step 4
Record and Notify
A written record for the file, along with a clear note of anything that needs to be shared with the parents. It is much better to have this information ready on the day than to try to answer their questions three days later without it.
